The WUM Circle K District Board has set a goal to raise $6,000 for Camp Bay Cliff in the UP.
What is Camp Bay Cliff? Like Camp Wawbeek in Wisconsin Dells, Bay Cliff serves children and adults with physical disabilities. Camp Bay Cliff also offers rehabilitation services to camp participants. The participants work towards the goal of increased independence and living a fuller life.
In order to help reach this fundraising goal, Anette Divjak (Metro LtG from Marquette) has started selling “I ‘Heart’ Bay Cliff” stickers. The stickers are $1 each, with all proceeds going directly to Camp Bay Cliff.
This is a great opportunity to show our support to Circle K and their endeavors!!

Instead of a meeting so close to the holidays we thought it might be fun for us to celebrate the holidays and all the good things we have been able to accomplish this past year. The idea is simple, we will meet at Kristie’s house in lieu of a meeting on December 21 at 7:00 p.m. to celebrate with some holiday cheer. Please bring an appetizer or treat to share.
In terms of service – we are sponsoring a family for this Christmas (single mother with 4 kids). Our club has donated a portion to purchase gifts for the kids, but to make it extra special we were thinking everyone could bring an item of food so we can make a food basket – perhaps whatever your favorite holiday food is (boxed stuffing or potatoes), or maybe homemade cookies. I was also thinking of some small gift certificates ($5 or $10) to Blockbuster, Panera, Starbucks, etc. These could be a gift for the mother. At the social, we will prepare all the gifts for delivery on the 24th.
Finally, we thought it would be fun to play a game of white elephant. What does that mean? Find something to wrap up and bring it along for a fun game that involves stealing gifts and getting the good one!
If you are interested in attending and have not yet received the e-vite, please leave us a message here and we’ll be sure to contact you with additional details and Kristie’s address! Hope to see you all next week!

Hi Everybody,
Happy Monday!
I have attached the meeting minutes that you’ve all been waiting for! You will also be receiving the latest and greatest contact info sheet sent to you for corrections. When I get in all the corrections, I will send out the updated contact info sheet and everybody will be happy and able to get ahold of Lana or Howie 24/7. Don’t look for this for another day or so though.

Our meeting scheduled for Wednesday, December 7, will NOT be held at its usual location. In an effort to support our Key Club at Wauwatosa East High School, we will be attending a fundraiser put on before this week’s club meeting. The Key Club will be holding a fashion show this Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at Wauwatosa High School. The plan and details are as follows:
6:30PM – 7:30PM – Attend fashion show
7:30PM – 8:00PM-ish – Hold short Kiwanis meeting
8:00PM-ish – Socialize w/Key Club
Location: Wauwatosa East High School, 7500 W. Milwaukee Avenue (76th & Milwaukee)
Parking: Parking lot located at 74th St. & Hillcrest
Cost: Suggested (but not required) donation of $3.00 for the fashion show (proceeds will be donated to the earth quake victims in Pakistan)
Other Details: If you can make it by 6:30PM, we will be meeting as a group at the Cafeteria and then moving to the Auditorium. I am told the Cafeteria is located towards the back of the building and we should enter the building at the entrance on 74th street. For those of you who can not make it by 6:30PM, enter at the 74th St. doors, head to the big, empty commons area called “The Learning Center”, go left to the offices, turn right at the offices, and head down that hallway to the Auditorium.
